Flavors / Description:
Beaumont wines was the first winery in South Africa to bottle a Mourvedre – a varietal originated in Spain and traditionally planted in France to enhance classic Shiraz blends.
Mourvedre’s dark, thick-skinned berries result in powerful spicy and sometimes gamey aromas in their youth.
A combination of rich red berries and dense inky black berry fruit, with under tones of licorice and leather. Delicate spices including thyme, clove, cinnamon and black pepper with a characteristic core of tannin running through, creating togetherness and serious length.
